The Cumberland Public Libraries operates seven locations as well as a Borrow by Mail service.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are pleased to announce that we will be launching a satellite library service in Advocate, starting Saturday, June 28. The satellite service will operate each Saturday at the Advocate Fire Hall (4176 Highway 209), from 10am until 2pm. Patrons will be able to start placing holds for pick up at the Fire Hall on June 21.
Satellite patrons will be able to browse a small collection, return, and borrow library materials, create a library card, learn about the library and its services, and access the internet. We will also host selective programs and events for our Summer Reading Club.
Have any books you want to return? Our book drop has been relocated to the Advocate Fire Hall for your convenience.

The Four Fathers Memorial Library was established in 1967 and houses the largest collection in Cumberland County. The library is named for the four fathers of Confederation who were residents of Amherst: R.B. Dickey, E.B. Chandler, Sir Charles Tupper and Jonathan McCully. The library has an after-hours book return located at the side of the building.
