Little Readers
What is Little Readers?
Little Readers is an early literacy program that is offered to children aged 0-3 in Cumberland County. Through a variety of stories, songs, and games, the children will learn about letters and words and how they go together to form stories. Parents or caregivers will participate with their child and will learn new ways to introduce reading into all aspects of everyday life.
Who can join Little Readers?
Little Readers is open to all Cumberland County children between the ages of 0-3.
When does Little Readers start?
Little Readers will start September 26th and will follow a two-week rotating schedule:
Week 1:
Monday – Oxford: 10:30am-12pm
Wednesday – Advocate: 10:30am-12pm
Thursday – River Hebert: 10:30am-12pm
Week 2:
Monday – Amherst: 10:30am-12pm
Wednesday – Parrsboro: 10:30am-12pm
Thursday: Springhill: 10:30am-12pm
