Little Readers
What is Little Readers?
Little Readers is an early literacy program that is offered to children aged 0-3 in Cumberland County. Through a variety of stories, songs, and games, the children will learn about letters and words and how they go together to form stories. Parents or caregivers will participate with their child and will learn new ways to introduce reading into all aspects of everyday life.
Who can join Little Readers?
Little Readers is open to all Cumberland County children between the ages of 0-3.
When does Little Readers start?
Little Readers will start September 25th with each session running from 10am until 12pm. Below is the program schedule:

Wednesdays: October 4, 18; November 1 , 15 , & 29
Amherst
Tuesdays: September 26; October 24; November 7 & 21
Friday: October 13*
Oxford
Thursdays: September 28; October 12 & 26; November 9 & 23
Parrsboro
Wednesdays: September 27; October 25; November 8 & 22
Tuesday: October 10*
Pugwash
Mondays: September 25; October 23; November 6 & 20
Wednesday: October 11*
River Hebert
Fridays: October 6 & 20; November 3 & 17; December 1
Springhill
Thursdays: October 5 & 19; November 2, 16, & 30
*Alternate Little Readers dates to account for the Thanksgiving holiday.
